Bombay Deluxe Restaurant

Found a groupon while visiting and let me just tell you, this was wonderful! I picked up a meal to bring home and there was so much food! Plus, though I am not Indian, it seemed to me to be quite authentic!

Best Indian restaurant in Anchorage. Anchorage has great food and this place it one that upholds that standard of good food and great customer service. I would give it another star if it was a little cheaper, but I'm not complaining because the food is so good. The buffet on the week days is a really good deal. Don't forget the Mango lasi!

Awful customer service! After waiting for two orders for 45 minutes (the young male had mentioned it would be 20-25 mins), the young male said oh sorry, it’ll be another 25 minutes... this was after they served two other parties that arrived after we did. NEVER WILL GO BACK, save yourself the trouble!

So yummy. The buffet wasn't huge but very good and absolutely delicious. So appreciate lamb was served. Excellent hot sauce to spice it up too. Courteous and accommodating service. Lovely people, wonderful food.

Surprisingly good Indian food. I loved the lamb curry. Good with both rice and naan. The paneer tikka masala was not bad - gravy was good, but the paneer was not grilled (not really tikka). Service was good. Atmosphere was quite but nice. Overall, my favorite Indian restaurant in Alaska.

Horrible buffet. Loved the Indian restaurant in chicago. This one however I will never go back. Big thumbs down. Website days buffet is till 3. Well that also lies.

Really good food. My only gripe is the price. Expect to pay $22-$28 just for your main dish. Don't forget the really tasty NAAN breads. O yea, those are expensive too.

My husband and I eat at Bombay Deluxe regularly and now there is Bombay South we have enjoyed the food there too. After a long day it is awesome to be greeted by friendly faces and relaxing atmosphere and to watch the videos. I cannot wait until South has videos to relax and eat to as well.

The food tastes alright and the employees are friendly and welcoming. I got the shrimp Beryani and it has only 6 shrimp and rice enough for at least 3 people. A bit too much for $20.

Great place for lunch. We got there around 12:20 pm and it was starting to get very busy. Nice selection of food, and as far as buffets go the food was at the correct temperatures. Very hot. The spice level is mild and all the food was seasoned very well without being over salted. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys India and its cuisine's.

I ordered the chicken Tikka masala with a side of naan and it was delicious! I asked them to make it spicy and the heat wasn't too bad. I was very pleased with the service I received from the entire wait staff at the restaurant. They were all very friendly, outgoing, and observant if your in the mood for Indian food, I would highly recommend Bombay Deluxe Indian Restaurant.

Really enjoyed this meal (ordered the chef's special) and food quality was high. The experience was let down by a only semi-attentive server, generally simple/poor food presentation and utensils.Was upset when I received my ice cream to take away and ended up with a micro container that was probably a third of a scoop of ice cream.. That was a disappointing end to an otherwise great meal.

I always like Indian food and I search wherever I am but this one isn’t good. Chicken curry isn’t tasting and is just like homemade. I only found white rice. Not my favorite as an indian food eater.

Rock solid, as always! You really can't go wrong with anything you order off of the menu or grab off of the buffet. I also love their iced tea!

Never disappointed when I go there

food was excellent but service was questionable, my server gave me my entree first and 5-7minutes later I got my appetizer. My server didn't do a single follow-up during my time here, the dishwasher brought me my refill on water. When it was apparent I was done is when he finally came to my table. Mind you, the food was delicious, I might come again. The bartender and the dishwasher were very friendly and outgoing but my server was non existent

I used to love coming here. The food and service was always great and the waiter and waitress remembered me. Now I come and the service is slow and not as friendly. I ordered the chicken makhni, medium. And it came out less than mild. Naan bread was also greasy and it’s never been that way before. Ever since they opened the other location things seem to have gone downhill. It’s also super hot in the restaurant.

My favorite restaurant for Indian food, it has a great deal in it's weekday lunchtime buffet. I really enjoy going to a late lunch on Fridays as they have delicious Chicken Tika Masala and other great delicacies.

Ordered chicken and lamb biryani and they both had very little meat. The rice wasn't mixed well either. It would have been great if it had more meat in both dishes.

Visiting from Florida. Looked for an Indian food restaurant online. Saw the reviews and decided to visit. Meanwhile as we were waiting for Uber, 2 locals said it had great food. Excellent authentic cuisine! Super clean restaurant. The staff was friendly and explained everything about the menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!! 🙌

Been a while since I've had some authentic Indian food. Meal was spot on prices need some work but didnt leave disapointed.

I've been satisfying my taste buds at Bombay Deluxe for over 30 years...since the original owner/founder. My family, friends and I have found the meals to be consistently delicious, to this day. The seasonings are perfectly balanced. I like very spicy food, no problem at Bombay deluxe. Mild and flavorful is also available. The staff have always been attentive and pleasant.I've traveled much and sampled Indian food in many locations. Can think of only one superior experience. 3-4 years ago I was at Bombay D seated nearby a table of Indian folks in traditional attire. It was summer and they were visitors to the state. We conversed prior to the meal, nice people! Afterwards I asked them for their input on Bombay Deluxe and they were a very enthusiastically thumbs up. There you have it, enjoy...or miss out.

Good indian restaurent in Ancourage

We ordered Vegetable Korma and what came out was like nothing I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant. It had white sauce, frozen vegetable mix, no potatoes and grapes?! The vegetable simosas were pretty good, the garlic naan was good but we were shocked at the main. It didn’t look like Indian food, and had no curry in it. Bizarre. We’ve had this place before and it was good but for the price I can’t risk getting garbage again.

The worst place and I didn't even eat here... Just waited for 20minutes, got rude replies and saw a couple of other customers complain about the food coming out extremely late and left.

Daughter came home with to-go box and I tried, it was tasty but I have this chewy chunk and when I removed it from my mouth, I am chewing on a piece of brown cardboard. What was in this to-go box was a pita bread, white rice, beef with tasty sauce and pineapple. It was tasty but.... my appetite was ruined when I discovered I am chewing on a paper. This restaurant is in town for long with great reputation and I love to see businesses that last long. But please keep your staff maintain the Quality, Cleanliness, & Safety of your customers by making sure foods are well-prepared & inspected free from any thing that’s not supposed to be in it or with it. I changed your stars from 2 to 4 at this time. Just wanted to nudge your staff that we do love to come and eat, show us your BEST!

Average Indian food for Western taste buds. Wasn’t a fan of Palak Paneer. A lot of the food lacked the masala punch. Not for me.

Food is flavorful and tasty, parking is absolutely terrible (-2 stars). Avoid the place during lunch and peak hours or prepare for a truly frustrating experience (Like getting out of the full parking lot to find another spot).

Can't say enough good things. Delicious food great service. My first stop to eat everytime I go to Anchorage!

No Chai tea at this Indian restaurant....What?? It's 15 degrees outside. Come on man. Food was good and customer service was good.

Beautifully decorated interior with a Modern Vibe

Ordered using DoorDash, so unless something went very wrong during delivery, I received a very subpar dish that was over priced. The Chicken Tikka was likely cooked prior to being ordered, heated to order, and tossed in sauce at order. Evident by the large flavorless and dry chunks of chicken in the dish accompanied by a tasty sauce, surprisingly, that I did could not bring myself to finish. The restaurant likely uses breasts that they cube instead of the traditional thigh so there’s that probably explains why it’s been up charged and dry. Garlic naan was ok, unsure if I was over charged by the restaurant or Doordash for two breads.

Quick service, decent Indian food!

$26 for an entree on Grubhub.The quality and taste at the midtown location has gone down.$10 increase on all the entrees in just less then 2 years.Wish there were more Indian restaurants in anchorage.

Really good food, but seemed like a long wait to order and then to get our order. Also, the server or food runner, accidentally brought our food to another table before taking it all off thier table and bringing it to ours. There was a large party dining, maybe just a busy night.

Coupon $7.50 off on one entre with 2 orders. Lunch menu prices much higher than expected so we went with lunch buffet for 2 at $30.. Quite disappointing in limited variety and not all that good. Been to so much better Indian buffet's and not returning. Anchorage has too many good restaraunts for lunch.

Wasn't impressed at all. Food is missing flavor, spices!( perhaps they can import them from Bombay?). Wouldn't go back!

Let’s be clear, I love Bombay Deluxe. I’ve been a long time customer, have dined with you many many times over the years and am seldom disappointed. Unfortunately these last couple times I’ve eaten with you my experience has been less than stellar. My most recent order of the chana masala was so unbearably salty I could not take two bites, I had to toss it. I will keep coming back, and am giving a higher rating because I know the kind of food and service you’ve provided me in the past.

Loved it! The food was filled with the right combination of spices and the staff was very attentive.

Great food, I came here almost everyday for the week that I was in Alaska. The service was a bit long but the food was worth the wait.

Took over 1.5 hours to deliver. Decent food. The veggie pakoras was mostly potato pakoras. The prawn curry was tasty. Rice was free. Naan was big and soft.

I love this place, food is so good every time. Nice atmosphere, I like the Bollywood type of music videos they have playing. Heat customer service as well.

Not flavorful at all. Even my order of hot spice level was mild. Don't waste your money.

I was here for Lunch, this is the second Indian restaurant I tried in Anchorage. They have a buffet for Lunch. It’s a very small place.While the food taste was okay but the choices in the buffet are limited for the amount they charged. I felt they could added one rice item like Biriyani or Pulav along with one more starter.

Awesome food! Be sure to try the paneer kulcha and the chicken makhni.
